The following information will help you get started in your online learning experience.

ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

Online: Orientation begins January 12th. Click here to start.

On-Site (optional): Sign Up to attend the lab style orientation on site at VHS, 2501 Vegas Drive at the following times:

Tuesday, Jan 20th - 3:00pm-6:00pm   Sign Up
Friday, Jan 23th      - 1:00pm-3:00pm   Sign Up
Friday, Jan 30th      - 1:00pm-3:00pm   Sign Up

Headsets are available for purchase on campus for $10.00 (cash only).

STARTING YOUR CLASSES (username and password information)

All students MUST log in and click in to each of their classes on January 20th to start Spring semester.
 
How do I start my virtual class in Blackboard? 
All students, especially if they are new, should start by viewing the online orientation which will be available starting January 12th. Click here to start.

All registered students have a Username and a Password to access their virtual course work. To log in to your virtual classroom in Blackboard, you must have previously registered for a class.  Log in to Blackboard by first clicking the Blackboard icon on the right of the ccsdde.net main page under “Student Login.”  Enter your username and password to access your course(s) inside Blackboard. 

What is my Username and Password?
Your Blackboard account will be available starting January 12th, or within 24 hours of your registration if you registered after the 12th. Your Username and Password will be a combination of your student number, first name, and last name: the last four (4) digits of your student number, your first two letters of your last name, and first two letters of your first name.  

NOTE: Use lower case for the letters of your last name and first name.

For example:
John D. Doe 0123456
Student’s username: 3456dojo
Student’s password: 3456dojo

Your Username and Password are the same.

How often do I log in to Blackboard?  Log in everyday to your virtual classroom; this will help you to stay on track.  Once inside your classroom, follow the instructions for your course work.  Remember!  The more you log in, the more likely you are to increase your chance of success. 

How often do I log in to my Instructional Support Session?  You will log in weekly to your online instructional support session.  Here you have the opportunity to speak with your teacher, meet fellow students in your class, and get live help from your instructor.  Your instructor will tell you the day and time for the session.
