FALL 2009 INFORMATION

Fall Registration NOW OPEN!

Classes are filled on the first-come, first-served basis with verbal counselor approval.
  • When: August 24th, 2009 - First day of school, all students must attend by logging in to Blackboard and accessing each of their classes.
  • Cost: Free
  • Requirements: All courses are online. Students must log in daily to attend classes. Students will need to purchase a headset for live sessions.
  • Part-time Students: Part-time students may take up to two courses which they request through the registration system. Students cannot take semester one and semester two of the same course concurrently unless they have previously failed one of the courses and are replacing the grade.
  • Full-time Students: Full-time students must create an account and select full-time status for the appropriate term. If the student wishing to become full-time already has an account, they may log in and click "Request Full-Time Status" from the menu on the left.

  • Attendance:
    - Students who register for a class for the fall 2009 semester and do NOT access their class within the first 10 days of class availability OR by the 15th day of the semester, whichever comes first, will be automatically removed from their class.
For example: Fall classes start on August 24, 2009. If a student registers sometime during the summer, he or she must access the course by September 4, 2009, (within 10 days of class availability). However, if a student registers for the class on September 6th (already 10 days into the semester), the student has until September 11, 2009, to access the class (by the 15th day of the semester). The student in the second example only has five days to access the course to earn credit, because the 15th day of the semester comes first.
    - Students who have accessed their course, but have been absent for 10 consecutive days PRIOR to the 15th day of fall semester (September 11, 2009), will be withdrawn from their class and referred to their zoned school counselor for other options.
    - Students who have accessed their course, but have been absent for 10 consecutive days AFTER the 15th day of fall semester (September 11, 2009), will be contacted, and both student and parent/guardian will be reminded of the withdrawal procedures.
    - Students may not enroll in a Virtual HS course after the 15th day of the fall semester. However, a student may transfer from another school after the 15th day of the semester.
Note: All students will be contacted on the 3rd, 6th and 9th absences before they are withdrawn.
